Introduction
RunData is a running data visualization app that helps you track and analyze your running workouts from Apple Health. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
Health Data
- Workout dates and times
- Distance and duration
- Pace information
- Calories burned (when available)
This data is only accessed with your explicit permission through the Apple Health authorization system. This data stays on your device and does not travel to any server owned or operated by RunData. If you choose to export your data, you are still in control of it as a CSV file or as a Google Spreadsheet owned by you.
App Usage Data
- Profile information you provide (name, profile picture)
- App preferences (units, theme selection, PR display settings)
- Widget data temporarily stored for home screen display
Third-Party Services
When you use Google Sheets export:
- OAuth tokens for Google authentication (stored securely in iOS Keychain)
- Spreadsheet data you choose to export
How We Use Your Information
Primary Uses
- Display your running statistics and personal records
- Generate weekly mileage charts and trends
- Export your data when you request it
- Update your home screen widget
Data Processing
All calculations are performed locally on your device. No health data is transmitted to our servers. Widget data is shared only between the main app and widget using Apple's App Groups.

Local Storage
- All health data remains on your device

Third-Party Storage
- Google Sheets: When you export data, it's sent to your Google account per your request

Your Rights and Control
- Revoke Apple Health access at any time through iOS Settings
- Delete the app to remove all local data
- Sign out of Google Sheets to revoke access
- Modify or delete exported Google Sheets data directly
Data Retention
- Health data: Retained locally until you delete the app or revoke access
- Profile data: Stored locally until app deletion
- Google OAuth tokens: Until you sign out or revoke access
Children's Privacy
RunData is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates or notifications. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Website Analytics & Cookies
Our website, rundata.cc, uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from). Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect aggregated, non-identifying usage data such as your approximate location, device, and browser. This applies to the website only; it is separate from the RunData app, whose health data stays on your device as described above. We do not use this data to personally identify you.
